Acute.CMS_Inside_300x217 It is a privilege to serve the poor and marginalised. The last four months of serving in partnership with the local church and community has provided me tremendous opportunities for sharing Christ in different parts of Nepal. It was wonderful to see more than 170 young people and pastors from 14 local churches participating in a conference on “Youth & Addiction” in Makawanpur in October.

Joy.CMS_Inside_300x217 Teaching and training can be both a challenging and an exhilarating task, especially when it has to be juggled with general administrative duties. As the founding dean of the Nepal Theological Academy (NTA) in Kathmandu, I can testify to this. But praise God for his faithfulness; NTA celebrated its first anniversary on Oct 21, 2016. We invited our new board secretary to preach to our students. There was also a cultural show.

Age.CMS_Inside_300x217 Karna Bahadur was born in a Hindu family of west Nepal and worked as a teacher before going to Japan to work. His sister accepted the Lord and he hated her for that because he didn't like Christianity as he was a devout Hindu.

Aryal.CMS_Inside_300x217 We serve and share as the Lord leads. We thank the Lord for guiding Kumar in his preaching preparation and giving him the privilege of sharing the Christmas message entitled “Unwrap: The Gift of God” in our local church, Makati Gospel Church, on Dec 25. The retelling of the Christmas story as told in the Gospels proves crucial at a time when festivities centre on Santa Claus, gift-giving and family gatherings. Praise God for how He reminds us through His Word of the real reason behind the season -- the Saviour Christ born to take away our sins and grant us new and everlasting life! He is definitely the best gift any person can ever share and receive.

Journeying.CMS_Inside_300x217 As 2016 drew to a close, we looked back with wonder at all that God has done, and we are overwhelmed because He has done much more than we can ask, think or imagine. We began the year stepping out in faith to work for rehabilitation of women prisoners. In a year’s time the project has grown by leaps and bounds, thanks to God’s amazing favour and the passion and commitment of the team working with the prisoners.
