As Milan Magar was reading about the Magar people on the Internet, he was burdened with a deep desire to reach out and help them.

Being in a foreign land with an alien culture thousands of miles from home can be an intimidating experience. Throw in some unwelcoming locals, or worse still, unjust officials, and the adopted world of the immigrants will be turned topsy-turvy.

Sanjay was referred to ESCAPE at the age of 16 through the legal system. He was at one of the remand homes before he was referred to ESCAPE. Sanjay received residential counselling at our respite home. During his stay with us he learnt to manage his anger and also to work as a team. We noticed good leadership qualities in him.

SACYN 2015 has successfully concluded in New Delhi with the eyes of its core leaders firmly focused on the journey ahead, including in mission-related initiatives involving youth groups of churches.
Twenty-four participants from South Asia gathered at the Gandhi Peace Foundation to map out the way forward based on reflective evaluation of the three years of training module which was completed in 2014.
