Mobilised for Missions: The Importance of having an Obedient Heart

Earlier this year in South-East Asia, Co-Mission Partner James* brought together 110 dedicated individuals – mission leaders, Pastors, and members of missions committees – for a ‘Mission Awareness and Mobilization Training’ that gave the attendees the opportunity to align their collective efforts and establish a clear and unified vision for their mission endeavors in the coming year of 2025.

The gathering was marked by moments of heartfelt prayer for various mission fields, the dedicated missionaries serving in them, and the unreached people groups scattered across the globe. James felt a deep sense of gratitude for the renewed faith and purpose that filled their hearts, and that they moved forward with a collective trust that God would indeed use their combined efforts to reach those still waiting to hear the Good News.

It was during this training that James had the privilege of meeting a woman named Eileen*, who for many years, had faithfully pastored a thriving church located over a thousand kilometers from her home region. However, Eileen was now asking God whether He might be calling her to a new, and perhaps more challenging path.

After a period of prayer, Eileen felt a clear and undeniable leading to apply to James’s mission organization, convinced that God was directing her towards cross-cultural ministry. Following several months of preparation, interviews, and comprehensive training, that inner conviction blossomed into a tangible reality.

Eileen stepped out of her familiar surroundings and arrived at one of the mission’s bases, her heart ready to embrace the opportunity to share the love of Christ with the local community and the diverse minority people groups of the area. Eileen’s story is a testament to the transformative power of obedience and her journey serves as an inspiring reminder that ordinary individuals, when touched by an extraordinary God, are called to embrace paths that others might not choose!

Pray for:

  • The 110 leaders who attended the Mission Awareness and Mobilization Training will be inspired and committed to actively support and participate in the missions’ work throughout 2025, leading their churches to partner effectively in reaching the unreached.
  • Continued unity and passion among the monthly prayer teams as James gathers across his nation’s capital cities in 2025.
  • Pray for Eileen —that God will strengthen her, guide her, and open doors for her to share His love with the local community she serves in; may her obedience bear much fruit and bring glory to God.
