10 Jul Igniting the Shepard’s Heart: Yan’s Testimony of Spiritual Renewal
Based in Southeast Asia, Peter*, currently works with about 20 trainers across nearly 10 regional centre’s that cover topics like Stewardship, Excellence in Leadership, Shepherd of God’s Sheep, Honouring God through Holy Living, Experiencing the Holy Spirit, Breaking Spiritual Bondages and Basic Beliefs of Christianity.
Peter and his team often facilitate training sessions, summits, and retreats for pastors and church leaders throughout the region. Some of these gathering’s center on evaluating current ministries and strategizing for enhanced outreach to diverse communities.
During one such meeting, Peter met Pastor Yan*, a senior leader and recent graduate of Peter’s training institution, who shared his struggles with his faith and personal connection with God, which had negatively impacted his ability to serve his congregation.
However, his engagement in the training and discussions brought about a shift in his perspective. He described it as God ‘waking him up,’ leading to a noticeable change in his attitude. He found impact in the realisation that a servant heart and a strong grasp of God’s Word are vital companions for maximizing effectiveness and efficiency in ministry.
Stories like Pastor Yan’s deeply encourage Peter and his team as they continue to develop and conduct their training programs. These initiatives serve as vital spaces for encouragement and edification for God’s workers in the field, offering support and a place for them to be replenished as they pour out to others!
Pray for:
- One of Peter’s key trainers as his health has not been great and has been undergoing medical treatment.
- For the safety and protection of Peter’s team as they travel to conduct training sessions in flooded and hard to access areas
- God’s provision for the trainers and leaders in Peter’s team as they are voluntarily serving by faith and are only assisted with a small stipend for every session.
- For each training to be conducted under the Lord’s authority and anointing so that every participant may learn in a supernatural way.
- Addtional opportunities to cooperate with other church groups who have the same vision.
