17 Dec From Hopelessness to Healing: Kavya’s Story of Finding Her ‘Cure’ In Church
Co-Mission Partner Dilshad* and his team are dedicated to serving the people in remote areas of Nepal. Recognizing the profound brokenness, spiritual strongholds, and conflict in families and society, they recently organized a series of conferences on ‘Inner Healing’.
Located in two churches in separate central market areas, believers from various districts and villages were able to gather and attend these trainings focused on foundational truths like finding our identity in Christ and the healing of the heart.
“Some people instantly accepted Christ, and the conferences fostered a sense of unity among the people as they realized they are called to live from a Kingdom perspective. These sessions helped leaders feel encouraged and taught them how the church should think and act in their community,”
One of the most powerful testimonies from these trainings came from Kavya*, a new believer who had been suffering from a mysterious illness that doctors could not diagnose. After exhausting all medical options and contemplating suicide, she decided to visit a local church.
She immediately felt a sense of peace and healing, and as she continued to attend fellowship, she was completely healed through the prayers of the believers.
Today, Kavya is an active church member and a powerful witness for Christ in her community. Much like the Samaritan woman in the Bible, she cannot stop sharing about Jesus after experiencing Him as her healer. She now runs a women’s fellowship, where she encourages others, even as a new believer herself!
Pray for:
- Dilshad’s upcoming travels to sister churches around the region
- Continued growth in church planting and discipleship training
