30 Jun Beyond the Screen: How Online Learning Forged a Deeper Connection of Faith
Rahul*, a dedicated co-mission partner based in South Asia and the registrar of a bible college, is deeply involved in nurturing holistic leadership development through blended learning methods. Over the past few months, his responsibilities were multifaceted between managing communications of the college’s students and leading a course on the Book of Acts.
However, a significant portion of his time and energy was dedicated to the crucial tasks of preparing final certificates and transcripts for the graduating students, alongside the logistical coordination of their upcoming graduation ceremony.
Unexpectedly, while doing his best to ensure the students had a smooth exit, Rahul learnt of a testimony by one of the graduating class members named Suresh*, who had first experienced a profound yearning for deeper spiritual growth during the challenging period of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Suresh’s journey at the bible college began by being actively involved in a WhatsApp prayer group with fellow youth from neighboring districts. It was through this supportive community that he first learned about the online program – Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) – that was being offered. Upon receiving all the necessary details about the program, Suresh enrolled, eager at the opportunity to expand his understanding of God’s Word.
